Traditional Mud Festival 'Chikal Kalo' Celebrated In Goa Village
Traditional Mud Festival known as 'Chikal Kalo' was celebrated at Marcel village in Goa on Friday. The festival takes place annually on Ashadh Dwadashi. During the festival, villagers and children played in the mud as a devotion to the childhood stories of Lord Krishna, who used to play with his friends. Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude participated in the festival.
