Traffic at 5:30 pm (IST) was light on the Najafgarh road in West Delhi, when head constables Sanjeev and Narender signalled the Skoda, coming in from the wrong side, to stop at the Bali Nagar crossing. Driver Kapil Grover had taken a wrong turn and tried to speed away, but the constables gave him a chase.
