Remember how low-cost airlines had once attracted many train passengers? The Chennai - Bangalore sector is now seeing a reversal of that trend. With the new Bangalore Airport almost a two-hour drive from the city, many frequent travellers from Chennai to the Garden City are now choosing the tracks over flights.
