"Treat Heatstroke Patients On Priority": Centre To Government Hospitals

The Union Ministry of Health, alerting the country about the heatwave, has issued instructions to all hospitals and medical institutions under the Central government. "People affected by the heatwave should receive priority treatment," Health Minister JP Nadda said. He also directed that special heatwave units be started in the central government hospitals. Mr Nadda reviewed the heatwave situation and the preparedness of central government hospitals after north India saw record-breaking minimum temperatures. Multiple cities suffered from record temperatures.
