Trouble ahead for Humayun's tomb
With the capital gearing up for the 2010 commonwealth games, there are now plans to construct a tunnel road linking NH 24 and Nehru stadium, which conservationist say would damage Humayun's Tomb. There are nine other monuments also listed as world heritage site that come in the route. In fact, UNESCO has officially warned that constructing the tunnel could mean that Humayun's tomb is delisted from the site list.
