Trump Tariffs | Piyush Goyal On Trump's 90-day Pause On Tariffs: "We Never Negotiate On Gunpoint"

Speaking on Trump's 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, Union Minister Piyush Goyal on April 11 said that they never negotiate on gunpoint. "Trade talks proceed when both sides are sensitive to each other's concerns and requirements. All our trade talks are progressing well, in the spirit of India First, and to ensure our pathway to Viksit Bharat @ 2047 in the Amrit Kaal...," said Piyush Goyal. "We never negotiate on gunpoint. Favourable time constraints motivate us for quicker talks, but till the time we are not able to secure the interest of our country and our people, we do not hurry," he added. "Indian startups are making us proud in newer and newer areas. I see them focus on new age technologies and innovation in days to come, and I am very confident that our start-up ecosystem will pave the way to foster greater business and trade will almost the entire world…," he added.
