"Trying Hard To Convince Him To Take Back Resignation": Anil Deshmukh On Sharad Pawar

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Anil Deshmukh said Sharad Pawar is one of the tallest leaders in the country, and not only of the NCP. "Everybody was shocked," Mr Deshmukh said, referring to Mr Pawar's resignation as chief of the NCP. "Everyone has been asking him, with folded hands, to come back, reconsider his decision," Mr Deshmukh told NDTV. "Yesterday and today too I spoke to him. We are trying very hard to convince him to take back his resignation. But Pawar ji says he took the decision after giving it a lot of thought," Mr Deshmukh said.
