"Trying To Save Lives": Assam Minister Tours Flood-Hit Areas

Eight people died in floods and landslides in Assam on Saturday while the number of people affected went up to 30 lakh, prompting calls to the army for rescue operations. The situation in other north-eastern states remained grim as well. Assam water resources minister Pijush Hazarika is touring all flood-hit areas.
