Tsunami hit women struggle for survival
After tsunami, women of Parangipettai in Chidambaram have taken to inland fishing which has traditionally been a male dominated occupation. These women had no choice. Some had lost their husbands in the tsunami while others need the income to pay off loans they took to repair boats and nets damaged in the tsunami.
