Tuberculosis Patient Dies Due To Lack Of ICU Beds In Mumbai
In September 2022, the Central government launched an ambitious mission to make India tuberculosis-free by 2025. At the same time, a TB patient in critical condition in Mumbai was unable to get an ICU bed in the entire city. The patient had to be taken 46 kilometres away from Mumbai for treatment, but by then it was too late.
