The U.S. Department of Commerce has reportedly asked Nvidia to investigate how its products ended up in China over the past year. In response, Nvidia has asked major distributors, including Super Micro Computer and Dell Technologies, to conduct spot checks on their customers in Southeast Asia. In another development, Democratic Senator Ed Markey and Republican Senator Rand Paul have called on President Joe Biden to extend the January 19 deadline for TikTok’s U.S. assets sale by 90 days.
