U.S. Govt Shutdown Averted: House Passes Emergency Funding Bill To Keep Govt Running
The world’s biggest economy, the U.S averted a government shutdown that would have brought key government services and the lives of over 8 lakh federal workers to a standstill. The bill which was passed by 366-34 in favour approved funding for the next 3 months. However, it dropped President-elect Donald Trump’s demand for an increase in the debt ceiling just a month before he returned to the White House. Watch the report by Dishha Bagchi.
