Uddhav Thackeray Says "Eknath Shinde's Son An MP, Yet My Son Is Targeted"

Uddhav Thackeray, reduced to a minority in his own party by a stunning revolt by his minister, said today the Shiv Sena rebels are "trying to break the party" and added: "Why should I feel bad about those who have left?". The Supreme Court rejected an appeal against exoneration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a 2002 Gujarat riots case. The appeal by Zakia Jafri, wife of Congress MP Ehsan Jafri who was killed in the violence, was "devoid of merits", the court said. Droupadi Murmu, the BJP-led NDA's pick for president, today filed her nomination for the post, with a host of ruling party and alliance leaders on hand to endorse her application.
