Flights from UK resumed today after the government suspended services between Indian and UK on December 23 over the new and more contagious strain of the virus. Today, Delhi has modified the rules, all those arriving from UK who test positive will be isolated in an isolation facility. But there will be mandatory seven days institutional quarantine followed by seven days home quarantine for those who test negative. Dr Shahid Jameel, Virologist, tells NDTV that "it is critical to have a very good plan in place to test and track, that is more important and a seven-day institutional quarantine whether you test positive or negative makes no sense, what purpose does keeping those who tested negative in isolation solve."
