UK Strongly Defends BBC Over Tax Surveys In India
The UK government has strongly defended the BBC in the country's Parliament over the tax surveys at its offices in Delhi and Mumbai last week. "We stand up for the BBC. We want BBC to have that editorial freedom and we want to be able to communicate its importance to our friends across the world, including the Government in India," said UK Foreign Office Minister David Rutley.
