Uma Sharma: The College Professor Who Runs 'Footpath School' In Gujarat
Dr Uma Sharma runs a school on a footpath for children from underprivileged backgrounds in Gujarat's Anand. Approximately 50 children, whose parents cannot afford to send them to a proper school, come to the school every evening. She says that she was raised in similar circumstances which prompted her to launch this effort.
