Under EPS, AIADMK Will Sweep 2024 Polls, Says Senior Leader Jayakumar

It's a shot in the arm for AIADMK leader Edappadi Palanisami who's elevation as Interim General Secretary has been upheld by the Madras High Court. Today, the court overturned the recent single judge order holding the July 11 General Council Meet of the party he had convened illegal thereby restoring the dual leadership with his political rival O Panneerselvam as the party's boss. While OPS has said he would challenge this in the Supreme Court, NDTV spoke to D Jayakumar, a senior AIADMK leader on what the verdict would mean to the party, poll prospects under singular leadership, possible split in the party, possibility of VK Sasikala's return and the party being overshadowed by an aggressive BJP.
