Convicts Were Released Under Which Law? Asks Subhashini Ali, Petitioner In Bilkis Bano Case
"Anyone left with little humanity is heart broken. This is a big matter. And this is why we have brought this before the Supreme Court. We just want to know according to which rule were they released," says Subhashini Ali, petitioner in the Bilkis Bano case. The 11 convicts, who had raped Bilkis Bano, walked out of the Godhra sub-jail on August 15 after the Gujarat government allowed their release under its remission policy. They had completed more than 15 years in jail.
