"Unelected Person Can't...": Tamil Nadu Minister Amid Row With Governor
Amid a raging war between the Governors and the government in three southern states, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan has said that the Governor has been sitting on a number of bills passed by the state Assembly for months. Justifying the Tamil Nadu government's demand to sack Governor RN Ravi, the minister said that an unelected individual appointed by the Central government cannot second guess the decision of an elected government.
