Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram slammed the Union Budget and said the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises were "dismissed in one sentence" in the budget. "The Budget allocation for Kisan Samman Nidhi has been reduced from Rs 75,000 crore to Rs 65,000 crore. MSMEs, which were dismissed in one sentence, has an allocation of Rs 15,700 crore. Nothing was mentioned about liberal, low interest loans, working capital or moratory. NOthing will be done to revive closed units and to recover the millions of jobs that we have lost," he said
