UP: 10 rapes in 48 hours
There have been 10 rapes in the last 48 hours in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati says changes will be made to fast track rape cases; the punishment for molestation will be increased. In Kerala, a minor was abused by nearly 100 men. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has promised action and said the accused will be brought to book. In view of these serious incidents do the laws need to change to counter this menace? We debate.
