Uttar Pradesh is fast becoming a hotspot for the incidence of AIDS virus, yet the government is not treating it with the urgency it deserves. The virus could spread unchecked in India's most populous state. After Ashok Pandey was diagnosed with TB in Mumbai five years ago he returned to his home in eastern UP's Sonbhadra district.
