UP Police Contradict Own Statement, Say No Evidence Of Rape In Hathras Case
After multiple versions of what exactly happened to the Hathras rape victim, the UP police has now made a U-turn, saying they have found no evidence of rape, contradicting their own statement. The family has accused the police of acting after public outrage, a few days after the incident, and said that they have been receiving threats from the attackers. The police, however, said an FIR was filed immediately after the woman gave her statement and that security has been provided to the family.
