Additionally, the Budget places a strong emphasis on religious tourism, with Rs. 400 crore allocated for developing pilgrimage centers like Ayodhya, Mathura. Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented a Budget of Rs. 8,08,736.06 crore, calling it a "public welfare Budget" designed for the benefit of the people.
