Minister's Son Summoned As "Witness" In Farmers' Killing Probe
After skipping summons yesterday, Union minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish finally appears for questioning in the probe of the violence that broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. However, Ashish Mishra - who has been accused of running over farmers was summoned as a "witness" by the UP police. Protesting farmers, meanwhile, demanded his arrest and resignation of the Union Minister. Farmer leaders have also announced a march to Lakhimpur, a 'rail roko' and a mahapanchayat in Lucknow.
