UPSC Withdraws Lateral Entry Advertisement

The government today requested the Union Public Service Commission to withdraw its advertisement for lateral entry into the bureaucracy. In a letter, Dr Jitendra Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that the "move should be aligned with social justice." Govt allies welcomed the move and the opposition allies claimed victory.
