Urban Nightmare: Cities In Shambles
Our cities are in shambles, they fall apart at the slightest disturbance like we have seen in Mumbai over the past couple of days where the city came to a stand still because of heavy rain. Yesterday, the Supreme Court hit out at the governments of Delhi and Mumbai over garbage saying that Delhi is being buried under garbage, Mumbai sinking, but government does nothing. Also, a Comptroller and Auditor General report has squarely blamed Chennai's municipality for the devastating floods of 2015 for allowing unregulated construction.
