The US government said the US economy grew at a 2 per cent annual rate in the third quarter, below the initial estimate of a 2.5 percent growth rate. While the Dow Jones industrial average and S&P 500 indexes fell 0.46 per cent and 0.41 per cent respectively, European shares too fell for a fourth straight session in light trading on Tuesday, with record-high yields at a Spanish debt auction weighing on banks.
