US economy main source of strength; Europe will remain overhang: P K Basu
P K Basu, Independent Economist spoke to NDTV Profit on the impact of developments in the US and the Europe debt crisis on the Asian markets. He said that Europe is moving towards a solution that will be short of default by Greece. However, it will remain an overhang on the markets for the first half of the year. But upward momentum in the US economy is acting as the main source of strength to the global economy at this point of time, he added.
