Kids of H-1B visa holders, brought to the U.S. as minors, are nearing a critical juncture as they turn 21. Once they hit adulthood, they lose their dependent status under their parents' H-4 visas. Previously, U.S. rules allowed a two-year window to switch to a new visa after "aging out," but tighter immigration policies and pending legal battles have cast doubt on whether this safety net will persist, leaving their futures in limbo.
