Murdered Uttarakhand Teen Cremated, Family Waits For Justice
A teen who was allegedly murdered by the son of a sacked BJP leader in Uttarakhand was cremated today amid massive protests. The protesters blocked a highway for several hours. They shouted slogans against the police after the 19-year-old woman, who worked as a receptionist at a resort near Rishikesh, was cremated. The protesters alleged the accused and his father are influential people and so the police went slow on the case. The woman was cremated by the banks of a river after the family agreed to a request by the administration for cremation.
