Video: Lanka Protesters Outside Indian High Commission In Solidarity With Detained Student
A protest broke out outside the Indian High Commission in Colombo in a show of solidarity with a student in Delhi, who was detained for protesting against the situation in the island nation and demanding action against political leaders responsible for the economic crisis. "This is a solidarity protest. We want the people of India to know we really appreciate what they did for us," a protester in Colombo told NDTV. "We all have seen some Indian students protesting in India to support our struggle here. We are keen to show our solidarity with them," another protester in Colombo said.
