Vidharba school buses don't ferry students
For girls going to school in Buldhana in Maharashtra, it's a long trudge. Government buses which are meant to take them to school free of charge under a state sponsored scheme never stop as they are more interested in other paying passengers. Since five years, girl students across Vidharbha have been complaining of having to wait for hours for buses, often missing school as a result.
