Vijaywada: A Capital Question
For the second time in recent history, the people of the Seemandhra say they have lost their capital. First, in the 1950s with the reorganisation of states, when Madras went to Tamil Nadu, and now, with the creation of Telangana and the loss of Hyderabad. As political parties promise Vijayawada residents a push to make their city the capital, candidates are making tall promises. The fight for power here is between the TDP and the YSR Congress. To take them on, the Congress has put up its youngest Lok Sabha candidate in this election. Who will win?
