Vishal may hive off manufacturing operations
The slowdown is pinching discount retailer Vishal Mega Mart. The company is closing four garment factories as well as its entire manufacturing operation to cut costs. Vishal Retail chairman Ram Agarwal said: "We are closing down manufacturing units. We will outsource manufacturing operations to external vendors. This will help us optimise costs."
