"If somebody is driving in violation of the odd-even policy, a private citizen has no right to stop the person," said Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on AAP government's plan to rope in volunteers to implement the rule. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Bassi warned against volunteer "vigilantism" and said "if any private individual is found indulging in any act which constitute an offence, we are going to take action". He said odd-even was a policy rolled out in a "hurry" and exemptions to it were "ambiguous".
