It’s Election Day. Polls opened Tuesday across the nation and Americans cast ballots in the 2024 presidential election.
Voters in four counties across western North Carolina cast their ballots on Tuesday in a tent set up at Smyrna Baptist Church, located north of Morganton, according to WSOC.
FEMA provided the tents after seven polling locations were either damaged by Hurricane Helene or were being used for recovery efforts, according to the Burke County Board of Elections.
