"Wait For Supreme Court Report": Mahesh Jethmalani On Judge Cash Case
Top legal minds have said the final report from the Supreme Court should come before commenting on the huge controversy linked to a huge pile of cash allegedly found at the house of a Delhi High Court judge. Senior lawyer and former Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Jethmalani said, "We must wait for the final report from the Supreme Court." The controversy surrounding Delhi High Court judge Justice Yashwant Varma broke out during Holi last week, when a blaze at his Delhi bungalow had to be put out by firefighters, who then allegedly found the cash. The judge has been transferred, which the Supreme Court said is not related to the probe that has been initiated in the cash incident.
