"Government constantly engages with the private sector, farmers are the biggest private sector in India, they should be heard", advises Professor M S Swaminathan, the Father of India's Green Revolution. The 92-year-old agricultural scientist opined that renaming of the Agriculture Ministry will in itself not be of any help to India's distressed farmers. According to him young scientists should help display the advantages of new agricultural technologies to the public and quell fears of gene editing and genetically modified foods. He ends this interesting episode of Walk The Talk with a disclaimer to the government: "Nothing can go right in the country if the farmers are wronged".
