In this week's Walk The Talk Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar prides in the fact that his ministry is not at loggerheads with the current government's agenda of development and that shift is reflected in the location of the shoot i.e. Ministry of Environment, Indira Pariyavaran Bhavan which is a net energy positive building. He comments on the swift decisions his ministry has taken with respect to the defence sector, urban development and infrastructure. He also opines that India is no longer a naysayer when it comes to collaborating on global environmental projects and climate change. He also comments on the National Green Tribunal functioning as a quasi-judicial body and the policies suggested to combat the growing pollution levels in India's cities. He says India's Coastal Regulation Zones Act (CRZ Act) needs further strengthening to improve tourism and also counter reclamation by building islands which is being done by China to increase its Exclusive Economic Zones.
