"Tejas is a highly unstable aircraft and that gives the pilot an unprecedented advantage", quips Dr Girish Deodhare. Associated Programme Director of New Programmes at Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and part of the team that has been persevering for over three decades for India's first indigenous fighter the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas. Although the comment leaves a lay man bewildered, Dr Deodhare's senior colleague and the Director of ADA, Cmde (R) CD Balaji explains that the Tejas has an unstable design but that only makes its world class flight computer take the fighter jet to its flight extremities.
