French President Emmanuel Macron, who is in India on a four-day visit, today said that India is a strategic partner of France in South Asia and "we want to be yours in Europe." Addressing a joint press briefing after holding a bilateral with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi this afternoon, Mr Macron said that stability in the Indian Ocean is important for the stability of the region. PM Modi, who spoke before President Macron, said "In defence, we welcome investments in Make in India from France".
