Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump today held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit here during which they discussed a range of key issues including defence and security. The relationship between India and the US goes beyond mutual interest and can be beneficial for Asia and the humanity at large, PM Modi told President Donald Trump who described him as a "friend" who is "doing a great job". The two leaders had last met in June, when President Trump had hosted the Prime Minister at the White House. Addressing a business meet later, the Prime Minister said he wanted to make India a global manufacturing hub and "we want to make our youngster job creators". PM Modi also addressed the Indian community in Manila.
