"Want To Repeal Laws To Win Elections": AAP's Raghav Chadha On Farm Laws Roll Back

AAP MLA Raghav Chadha congratulated the farmers as Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the roll back of the three controversial farm laws today. The AAP leader underlined that that it is difficult to not factor in the timing of the decision - a host of states go to polls early next year - and praised the farmers' "unrelenting struggle". "There are politicians who want to win elections to make laws, now you have politicians who want to repeal laws to win elections. You can't take your eyes off the timing of it. If they thought the farm laws were detrimental to farmers' interest, they could have repealed it 6 or 8 months ago," said the AAP leader.
