The surge in Covid cases in recent weeks has led to what is now being called a deadlier second wave of the pandemic. More and more people this time are complaining of breathlessness, which needs oxygen support. However, the supply of oxygen has become severely limited due to the sudden jump in demand. Responding to the Centre's call for ramping up oxygen production, corporate bigwigs as well as state-owned steel and oil entities have started expediting the essential gas' supply. In an exclusive interview, Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel and Power, tells NDTV: "It is our duty to save lives. We are diverting all the oxygen used in our steel plant for medical use. I would like to tell people that there is no shortage of oxygen".
