Waqf Bill Sent To Joint Parliamentary Committee, Will It Satisfy Opposition?
The Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in Parliament today. Opposition MPs in the Lok Sabha protested saying it was "unconstitutional, anti-minority and divisive". The Centre says the Bill will ensure much-needed transparency and reforms in the functioning of the Waqf board. The bill has now gone to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for further deliberations. Watch the full show on NDTV.
