A Bangkok resident, Ashish Kumar, recalled the chaos that gripped the Thailand capital when a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar left aftershocks in various countries. "I was on the 29th floor of a building when it began shaking violently. The building was shaking for at least one-and-a-half minutes, triggering widespread panic. We could see water splashing out of swimming pools inside other buildings. Even from the 30th-40th floor, the people used the stairs to exit high-rise buildings," he said.
