Student unions continued their protest for a second day over alleged irregularities in two of the most competitive exams in the country - NEET-UG and UGC-NET. Protests were reported from Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Patna. In Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, the Congress said the future of lakhs of students are in jeopardy. The UGC-NET, through which students can choose a career in teaching in higher education institutions, was cancelled a day after the test was held over suspicion that the paper may have been leaked. "This was my fourth attempt for UGC-NET. Last time I was left behind by two marks. This time I was sure I'd get more marks. I am 24 years old. How long will I depend on my parents?" a protester Abhinav Mishra said.
