As the BJP escalated its attack on Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, for his financial dealings, the Congress President's political secretary Ahmed Patel spoke out in the businessman's defense. In an exclusive interview to NDTV from Bharuch in Gujarat, Mr Patel said that Mr Vadra has not been shown any special favours, daring the BJP to launch any inquiry they wish into his land purchases. When asked how Mr Vadra's finances have multiplied so rapidly, he said that he hasn't seen the details, but that the BJP is targeting Mr Vadra simply to target the Gandhi family. (Read more)
