Watch: Love Jihad - BJP's New Poll Polariser?

Using the alleged gang-rape of a Hindu woman in Meerut, the BJP has chosen to give a communal edge to violence against women in UP, saying in its political resolution that most of the accused in crimes against the women of one community are from another particular community. The resolution also accuses the Samajwadi government in Uttar Pradesh of shielding those accused, and though the formal resolution does not use the term love jihad, it was mentioned several times during the party's Vrindavan meet. It is also a Sangh Parivar coinage that refers to women from the majority religion being converted to the minority religion using love as a bait. As the Congress and the SP cry votebank politics, a debate on whether love jihad is the BJP's new poll cry?
